Let the Power of Digital Variable Printing Drive Your Marketing Campaign

Success for today’s business owner relies as much on their innovation, creativity and ability to cut costs as it does on their capacity to provide a product or service to their customers. Drooping economies and the slow, steady chug of the upswing doesn’t leave much left over at the end of the day to spend on marketing. With that in mind, fiscally-savvy organizations are turning to digital variable printing to stretch their marketing budget as far as it will go.

Digital variable printing is something of a minor miracle spawned by today’s technological advancements. Using the power of digital, print shops are able to take information directly from the computer and put it on paper. It’s a quick, 2 step process that’s much, much easier than the old method of creating printing plates, giving companies more flexibility than they’ve ever had to present a unified, professional appearance and create a customizable marketing campaign that’s 100% personalized for their customers.

Businesses love digital variable printing for a lot of reasons. First and foremost, it cuts back on waste. Using printing plates and a traditional press, companies would have to order huge batches of marketing materials at a time and often had numerous boxes of “leftovers” lying around when they were done. Since digital printing allows you to print your marketing materials in smaller batches you can order based on your real-time demand, making changes when necessary to ensure that your brochures, newsletters and direct mail marketing campaigns are up-to-date for your customers.

The personalization potential of digital variable printing is the clincher for many companies, however. The days of being able to mass market to your target consumer group are long gone, replaced by a new breed of customer that demands to be recognized as individuals and isn’t shy about letting you know about it. Using the power of variable printing you can personalize all or part of your message, everything from the insertion of personal details to putting their name at the top to creating unique paragraphs to target each of your market segments.

Targeted marketing, less waste and more personalization to appeal to the individual in your customers. What’s not to like?

Make Your Own Business Cards – Crucial Advice to Make Effective Business Cards

If you are looking for help on how to make your own business cards, then this article is a must read right now. I have been running a business for long time now and have always been amazed at how many business owners don’t know how to make effective business cards.

When I first started up my own business I learned everything I could about creating business cards. I knew a fair amount about advertising and creating a winning business card was actually very straightforward for me. However, a lot people can get it wrong and create a business card that actually hurts their business. With that said, let me give you a few pieces of crucial advice to create a business card that will bring in calls, emails, or whatever you are aiming for.

What do you want your potential customer to do?

Before you even sit down and figure out what color scheme or title your business card will have, you have to determine what you want your customer to do. Do you want the person holding your card to call you when they need your service? Do you want them to visit your website so they can learn more about you? Answer this question before you start and you will get far more calls or emails.

The next piece of advice that I want to give you are the main points that you need to cover on your business card.

Title:

The thing that most businesses do when they create the title on their business card is they use their business name. This is good, but is it really good enough? Most times, the business name takes up half of the card, leaving the other half of the card blank. Let’s look at the difference in titles and you decide which one would be more effective at getting a customer to contact you…
Bad: “Jake’s Plubming”
Good: “Jake’s Plumbing – Fastest Service in Denver”

Slogan/Sub-title:

The slogan is located right below the Title. Most business owners put something like “20 years of experience” or something along those lines. One of the best functions of this line is a “call to action” for your customers to use your service.

An effective line might be “Get 10% Off If You Use Code 3812 When You Call”. This might be effective because you are giving the customer an incentive and also telling them to call to get it.

If you don’t want to use an incentive, then just ask yourself “What can I say to my potential customer to make them want to contact me?” Put yourself in their shoes and in their situation when they are holding your card.

Contact:

The contact information is fairly simple, but don’t leave out one very important thing. Of course you want to have your phone number, address, and email. What some businesses forget is to have a website and a call to action with the website. Here are two examples of good and bad uses of this area:
Bad: “MyBusinessWebsite.com”
Good: “Visit Our Website – MyBusinessWebsite.com”

How to Breathe Life in to Your Medical, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing Campaigns

Industries such as the pharmaceutical industry can find it hard to impart technical and scientific information in an accessible and desirable style due to the nature of the content. Whilst, it’s true to say that marketing campaigns should convey the right message for the intended audience, it seems that sometimes pharmaceutical companies can omit attractive design because they don’t believe it to be necessary when dealing with medical products and services.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what you sell, your clients are humans, continuously bombarded by marketing messages from when they turn on the radio on the way to work, to when they drive past those billboard on the way home. To be noticed, to be heard; you need to stand out. As marketing manager to a pharmaceutical, medical or healthcare company you can solve this with marketing communications that work hard through strategy, functionality and high-end visual design. To exceed your marketing objectives, create communications that convey the reliability and trustworthiness required in the pharmaceutical industry yet also display the thoroughness of your product with a thoroughly thought about, well designed marketing campaign. Stand out and grab attention, inspire interest, create desire and stimulate sales with creative, intelligent and functional design.

Whether you choose a rebranding exercise, corporate or promotional literature, web site design, packaging design, exhibition presence or above the line advertising; breathe life in to your communications.
